Advisory Committee for Professional Growth

The Advisory Committee consists of three administrators appointed by the Superintendent and three teachers appointed by the ETA. The purpose of the committee is to determine course and conference reimbursement.

Course Reimbursement:
Teachers on Group C (6th Level Degree, Certificate of Advances Graduate Studies [C.A.G.S.] or second Master’s Degree) shall be reimbursed by the Enfield Board of Education for 50% of tuition courses successfully completed up to a maximum of six (6) credit hours per year. All courses must specifically relate to the teacher’s position and function and be approved by the Professional Growth Committee. (Contract Article 6.A.)

Professional and Educational Conference Reimbursement:
Any monies remaining under the Group C Course Reimbursement Account will be applied to Reimbursement for Professional and Educational Conferences.
1.Application deadline for conference reimbursement will be April 15th.
2.Reimbursement for conferences occurring after April 15th will be made the following fiscal year.
3.Reimbursement will not exceed $110.00 per person, per year. (A year for this purpose is defined as April16-April 15.)

If monies remaining in this account are insufficient to cover all requests, reimbursement will be made on a prorated basis. (Contract Article 14.G.)
